The Philips heat lamp is a hard glass, infra-red heating lamp for the agricultural, industrial, and domestic sector. In the agricultural sector, the heat lamp is used to maintain the temperature of young animals.
The heat lamp features an internal, gap-free reflector, which results in the back of the lamp releasing significantly less energy, while heat release from the front is maximized. The white heat lamp provides just as much infra-red radiation and heat as the red variety. However, the red heat lamp produces roughly 75% less light than the white variety.
The PAR infra-red heat bulbs haven an internal reflector which directs the heat to the front of the bulb thereby inproving energyefficiency. Because of this, these 100 and 175 infra-red heat bulbs will give as much heat as regular infra-red heat bulbs of 150and 250 watts respectively. This gives a 30% energy saving. In addition, PAR infra-red heat bulbs will last longer
